Hope everyone is well!
Fahima & I have written/drawn an initial storyboard for the Rep Video. It is just our first thoughts, so any feedback, advice would be good; after all we want to recruit as many people as possible! It is quite lengthy, as we have tried to put as many ideas as we could for the moment.
Might want want to grab some coffee, whatever keeps you from falling asleep- hopefully not!

I'm new and just wanted to say Salaam! I've had a look through the rough story and it looks A-MAAAAZING mA! I'm so excited

With regards to making videos, I have made videos before...I can make a few samples related to the story and email them to yous if you want to have a see of what I can do (I got really excited and have already started!), and erm, please let me know if there is anything I can do! Sr Zainab has advised me to look for pics, sounds etc. and so I have also created a few images for the retro/psychedelic look!

that's really great mA! Please do try and make a video yourself. We don't have that many people who can make videos so if you can do this then it is by making videos that you can help us most inshaAllah. Have a look at the previous CW videos and keep in mind the quality of the final product and how professional it looks. The aim is to beat that inshaAllah. And don't worry one bit if you haven't made something up to the same standard before (you probably have) - just keep in mind what you want to achieve and work towards that and just keep working at every little hurdle that comes your way inshaAllah - and Allah will do the rest

The current tasks for multimedia team is the rep video and posters/templates for the Rep Pack. In order to do this the multimedia team need to liaise with the pack team. This could be done through a meeting possibly at the end of the week?

What does everyone think about that?

In regards to the meeting, if you're definitely having one then can I request that we have it next week please. I doubt i'd get a day off work this week! Hows Monday? Let me know which day you guys prefer so that I can take a day off work.

Assalamualaikum,

Im trying to make a lsit of posters/videos that need to be made so iA I can get them made by end of the month.
Videos:
So far a plan has been made for the rep video. iA will try and get a sample made asap.
Other video ideas..Was talking to Zakariya about possibly having a short vid a week for the weeks coming up to charity week (kinda like a trailer...except thers more than 1). tell me what you guys think and we can start makin a plan.
What other vids need to be made?

Posters:
So far I know of 3 that need to be made:
The chatity week poster
Debreif meeting poster
and a poster for the reps advertising their volunteers meeting

Let me know if I missed anything! also let me know who can make posters So far have 3 vid makers and 1 poster maker (iA maybe 3 after next week..but thats a maybe!)

I'll put myself in for poster making though to let you know I am one of the video makers, but I'm not as amazing the person who made it last year! So if there's anyone better at vid making, then I think it's best for them to do more (don't worry, I'm still in and will hellp out as much as poss iA!) oh and I was wondering if anyone knows what video software was used for last year's CW trailer? It'd be great to get hold of some good software!

the first question i asked when i saw last yrs video was ''what programme did they use??'' haha!! mA the videos last yr were very cool! and i saw the short vids you sent Zubair...you're very talented too!!

what software did you use? Im trying to learn Adobe After Effects CS3..you can do some fancy things on that and generate some cool special effects! and i also have adobe premiere..which i think is more of an video editting programme..havent really used it that much...

i was thinking that maybe me and you can work together on the vids? it would be nice to learn things from you and inshaAllah we can raise the standards! i think there's a brother who is also helping out with vids too..but i havent seen any of his demos yet!

i'd love to do posters too

Lol I made mine the old fashioned way of Movie Maker (the most basic you can get!). I thought I had other programs installed but obivously don't (i think it must've been on the previous computer) so I need to get hold of some software! I'm gonna have a look around as to what I can get but it's fab if you already have some software and we can defo work together iA
